DataCamp is half price — but the deadline just vanished

DataCamp's sale page no longer publishes an end date — the countdown that showed 18 September is gone, and its terms now say only “for a limited time.” Their own affiliate email said 24 September. So treat the deadline as unconfirmed: the price is real, the clock isn't. Premium is $165 for the year against $330: the full 790-plus course library, career tracks and certifications. Their standard price rose in August, so this is half the current price, not an inflated one.

Already over: Babbel and Pimsleur — but not MasterClass

I flagged some of these, so here's the closing bracket. Babbel's Labor Day lifetime offer and the Pimsleur sale have both run their course. MasterClass is the exception, and I had it wrong: its Labor Day 50% was extended rather than ended, and it was still live on 9 September at $5 a month instead of $10. MasterClass's own banner now says the offer ends tomorrow — but it has already moved that goalpost once, so check the price at checkout rather than trusting the countdown. If you clicked one of the others and found it gone, that's the sale ending — not you being slow.

Udacity added a full TypeScript course

17 hours, 24 lessons and a project, pitched at intermediate level, and it goes further than the usual "types for JavaScript developers" treatment — from project configuration and primitive types to generics, advanced type transformations and full-stack type safety. Taught by Bruce Cantarim. If you write JavaScript professionally and have been putting this off, this is a serious syllabus.

Udacity's "Building Apps with AI" — one hour, for people who don't code

The AI writes the code; you make the decisions. What earned it a mention is that it treats building for yourself, for your team and for your whole organisation as three different problems — which they are, and which is exactly where this kind of course usually waves its hands.

MasterClass launched Robin Dreeke on trust and gut instinct

Dreeke is a former FBI agent; the class applies what his publisher calls the SpyHunter playbook to reading people and deciding under pressure. Usual caveat: MasterClass is superb instruction from the top of a field, and it issues no credential anyone hires for. Buy it for the craft.

AWS renamed SysOps Administrator to CloudOps Engineer – Associate

In AWS's own words: the new name "will only apply to those who pass the latest exam version (SOA-C03)", existing holders are "not required to take" it, and your current certification "will remain valid for 3 years from the date it was earned". Nothing here requires a re-sit or a new course.
